Adoptable Pet Spotlight: Meet Annie

This week’s PetMeds adoptable  pet is Annie.  Eight year old Annie has already been through so much! Can you provide the loving home she needs to complete her miraculous transformation?

Annie was just recently rescued from a shelter in DeKalb, Georgia.  She is an owner surrender.  The lady who had her was in her 90’s and could barely care for herself, let alone Annie.  She was left outside, ungroomed for three years.  She is blind and Heartworm positive.  She weighs only 13 pounds.

Obviously we’re trying to fatten her up!  Once at a better weight she’ll be treated for heartworm and will be ready for adoption.  She is very loving and would be a great pet for the right family.  Who knew there was such a beautiful girl underneath all that fur.

You can learn more about Annie or find out how you can contribute to her medical expenses  at Life’s Little Paws.  Or contact the organization by email at:

Abby Rosenberg

Abby Rosenberg is a PetMeds employee and long-time cat lover. She was a volunteer for several years at a local no-kill cats only rescue shelter. This has prepared her for her most challenging role to date: secretary, photographer, social coordinator and treat dispenser for Daisy, and Daisy’s sidekick Harley. Daisy is a dilute calico Devon Rex cat, and Harley is a “cow-cat” who was adopted from the shelter where Abby volunteered. You can also find Abby on Google+
