Adoptable Pet Spotlight: Meet Harrison!

This week’s PetMeds featured adoptable pet is Harrison.  Can you find a place in your heart and home for this happy, energetic boy?

Harrison is a dacshund/terrier mix

Harrison is a sweet little dachshund/terrier puppy, who will be a year old in May 2013. He was adopted and returned due to the fact that he needed to be taught some “puppy manners”. This is typical in a terrier or dachshund puppy, they are very wild and unruly until they are taught proper manners. He would benefit from consistency, some training, and some patience.

Harrison is still a bit wild and unruly

If you are interested in Harrison, please contact his adoption counselor at You may send the adoption counselor an application, found on our website,

Harrison is hoping to find a forever home

Harrison is  available for adoption through LIFE House for Animals in Frankfort, KY.

Abby Rosenberg

Abby Rosenberg is a PetMeds employee and long-time cat lover. She was a volunteer for several years at a local no-kill cats only rescue shelter. This has prepared her for her most challenging role to date: secretary, photographer, social coordinator and treat dispenser for Daisy, and Daisy’s sidekick Harley. Daisy is a dilute calico Devon Rex cat, and Harley is a “cow-cat” who was adopted from the shelter where Abby volunteered. You can also find Abby on Google+
