Adoptable Pet Spotlight: Meet Willie!

This week’s PetMeds featured adoptable pet is Willie. Can you find a place in your home and heart for this sweet boy?

Willie is a Weimaraner Lab Mix approximately 1.5 years old.

Meet Willie.  Willie was in an Alabama Shelter and was going to be put to sleep.  Destiny for Dogs saved this baby and is currently trying to transport Willie from Alabama to South Florida.  Willie is a Weimaraner Lab Mix approximately 1.5 years old.  Willie weighs 41 pounds and gets along with all dogs, cats, kids, etc.  Willie’s foster family tell us that Willie is so sweet and deserving of a wonderful life and should have never have been placed in a high kill shelter.

If you are interested in adopting Willie please e-mail joann@destinyfordogs.com and see how you can bring more love into your home.

Abby Rosenberg

Abby Rosenberg is a PetMeds employee and long-time cat lover. She was a volunteer for several years at a local no-kill cats only rescue shelter. This has prepared her for her most challenging role to date: secretary, photographer, social coordinator and treat dispenser for Daisy, and Daisy’s sidekick Harley. Daisy is a dilute calico Devon Rex cat, and Harley is a “cow-cat” who was adopted from the shelter where Abby volunteered. You can also find Abby on Google+

Very interested in Willie, as our dog passed away over a year ago and missing very much having a best friend again. We have a cat and no children. We have a grandchild who visits regularly so am pleased to hear he loves kids. If you think Willie would be happy with a older (50’s) active couple please let me know. My husband is a former bird hunter and has had hunting dogs all his life. If you feel Willie would be happier with a family with children I certainly understand. But we would love to give him a forever home.

    Thank you,
    Denise and Pete
