Lucky’s journey to his forever home

I would like to introduce you to Lucky.  Lucky was an abused dog from Kentucky who found himself in a high kill shelter in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky.  He was terrified in the shelter and was fostered by a wonderful woman named Gina.  I found him on and fell in love.  I adopted him and he is the love of our family’s lives.  Enclosed is the picture of his journey from the shelter to our home in Boston.  I hope more people will rescue dogs that find themselves in a homeless situation and many times only given 72 hours to be adopted or put down.  Lucky is an amazing dog and has come a long way in the 7 months that we have had him.  He IS our “Lucky from Kentucky.”

Thank you for sharing Lucky’s rescue and adoption story with us; Lucky looks so happy to have joined your family!

Abby Rosenberg

Abby Rosenberg is a PetMeds employee and long-time cat lover. She was a volunteer for several years at a local no-kill cats only rescue shelter. This has prepared her for her most challenging role to date: secretary, photographer, social coordinator and treat dispenser for Daisy, and Daisy’s sidekick Harley. Daisy is a dilute calico Devon Rex cat, and Harley is a “cow-cat” who was adopted from the shelter where Abby volunteered. You can also find Abby on Google+
