Adoptable Pet Spotlight: Meet Sophia
Posted by Abby Rosenberg on August 22, 2012
Filed under PetMeds Spotlight

This week’s PetMeds adoptable pet spotlight is on Sophia, a gentle senior cat with lots of love to give:

Sophia is a sweet senior cat that loves being held and cuddled. Put her on your lap and this lovebug will purr up a storm, drape her paws over your shoulder and burrow her head between your neck and shoulder.

We hear that Sophia was a bit overwhelmed by the unfamiliar sights, sounds and smells when she first arrived at PAWS and preferred the comfort of her cage. With time, her loving personality has emerged; when Sophia is in her cage now, she comes to the front of the cage to be let out, and she enjoys being out and about.

Sophia is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all her vaccinations. She has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Even though Sophia does have hyperthyroidism, she is regulated and quite good about taking her medication (especially when it is wrapped in a salmon treat).  Sophia would do best in a quiet home with someone willing to give her the love and snuggles she deserves.  Sophia does not get along with other cats and she would do best as an only pet.

Has Sophia’s cute face and freckled nose touched your heart? If you live in the Norwalk, CT area and would like to have this sweet senior cat purring on your lap, you can apply to adopt Sophia on her PAWS profile page.  Sophia has her paws crossed, hoping to find a lap to fill and a heart to warm.

Thank you for featuring our sweet friend Sophia! I volunteer at PAWS, and can absolutely, positively say that she is a super snuggly lapcat extraordinaire. Come meet her today! :)
