Adoptable Pet Spotlight: Meet Sparky
Posted by Abby Rosenberg on May 29, 2013

Today’s PetMeds adoptable  pet is Sparky.  Maria tells us that everyone that meets him in person is amazed at how beautiful he is and what a great dog he is, but no one has shown interested in adopting him…

Can you find a place in your heart for handsome Sparky?

I was begged to help rescue him from MDAS with severe injuries and wounds from being attacked by other dogs. Sparky was literally dripping in blood when I picked him up. He spent a month at the vet undergoing two surgeries and recovering. Now he is all healed, looking gorgeous and ready for a loving forever home.

He is believed to be an Irish Setter mix, just about 1 year old, 50-55 lbs, neutered, micro chipped, fully vetted, heartworm negative, and a happy dog. Very loving and affectionate with people and good with children.

Still a pup full of energy and wants to play all the time. He will even entertain himself throwing toys up in the air and catching them. He loves to run and play fetch. Sparky is good with laid back and playful dogs about his same size or larger that are not dominant but not so good with small dogs because he thinks they are toys and can hurt them.

He is very smart and learns pretty much anything you teach him very quickly. He needs a home with a nice fenced in backyard so he can run and play. He is housebroken and knows basic commands. If interested in meeting Sparky, please e-mail me at out4sun68@yahoo.com

(Adoption application, home visit and adoption fee needed for adoption.)

I am highly interested in adopting Sparky. I have a very nice home in metro Atlanta with enough acres for Sparky and my other dogs to run and play to their hearts content. Please respond.
