Rescue Spotlight: FETCH Dog Rescue and Adoption
Posted by Abby Rosenberg on September 9, 2012

FETCH Dog Rescue & Adoption is a non-profit rescue group based in Rochester, MI. This organization is not a shelter facility; rather, they provide foster homes for homeless pets, so the dogs have the opportunity to interact with family members and other pets and experience a normal home life. In order to help reduce the number of homeless pets, FETCH ensures that every dog four months or older will be spayed or neutered before becoming available for adoption.  Younger puppies may still be adopted with a spay/neuter contract.

If you live in the area and are interested in adopting, FETCH maintains a current list of adoptable dogs, or you can see the dogs in person at their adoption events. You will need to complete their online adoption application, as well as an adoption contract and provide the adoption fee which includes the spay/neuter fee as well as current vaccinations.

There are lots of other ways you can help this organization. This group is based on a network of foster homes, so the more foster homes available, the more dogs that can be saved.  You can volunteer to provide a foster home for a dog or puppy in need. FETCH gratefully accepts your tax-deductible monetary donation. You can also donate much-needed supplies from their wish list such as paper towels, blankets, collars, leashes, food and water bowls, pet food, etc. PetMeds was proud to help support this organization with a donation of pet supplies.
