Adoptable pet spotlight: Cookie

Are you looking for an affectionate and active dog to add to your family? Meet Cookie! This young boxer mix had a rough start to life and is looking for a home through the Animal Relief & Rescue Fellowship.

This beautiful brindle girl is named Cookie. Cookie is a 2 to 3 year old adult female brindle boxer/Staffordshire terrier. Cookie has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, and is heart worm negative.  Cookie loves adults and children alike. She is not cat friendly at all so if you own a cat, Cookie is not the girl for you. However, she is a very loving, affectionate girl who loves to play. She is partial to chew toys and will run and play and entertain herself for hours. She also loves the outdoors so she could be a great hiking or camping partner.

Cookie arrived at our rescue massively pregnant, but the pregnancy was not viable. We discovered quickly that Cookie had a massive infection and needed veterinary attention immediately. She got to us in the nick of time and has made a full and complete recovery. Following her surgery, she quickly became a favorite of all the volunteers. We are looking for a great home for Cookie. She is good with most dogs, but she would probably be happiest as a single dog with an individual or active family. She loves attention and having been through so much in her early life, we would love for her to have a home where she could have undivided attention.

Cookie is available for adoption through the Animal Relief & Rescue Fellowship in Leland, MS. If you are interested in adopting Cookie, please contact Kathy for an adoption application at
