Adoptable pet spotlight: Freckles

Are you looking for a loving and cuddly dog to add to your family? Meet Freckles! This young Dalmatian mix is looking for a home through the Twin Cities Pet Rescue.

Freckles is a 2-3 year old female lemon-spotted Dalmatian mix. In May 2014, she was dumped at a high-kill shelter while she was in labor. She gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies and then was transferred into rescue. She was a wonderful mom to her puppies and took great care of them. All her puppies found their forever homes, and, since then, Freckles has been patiently waiting for her forever home.

Freckles is a total couch potato and prefers to spend her time cuddled up next to her people. She loves to be pet and seeks out attention from everyone. She has the most soft and silky coat you will ever feel! She can be anxious when in new situations, so she needs a home that will be patient with her as she adjusts. She would prefer to go to a home without any other pets – dogs or cats. She can do well with other dogs if she is slowly introduced and given time to adjust. Freckles is very smart and learns quickly. Her foster family spent time teaching her manners and basic obedience. She would make a great companion for almost anyone.

Freckles is available for foster or adoption through the Twin Cities Pet Rescue in St. Paul, MN. Inquiries on Freckles can be sent to dogs@tcpetrescue.org. Applications to foster or adopt can be found on the Twin Cities Pet Rescue website.

Note: If you’re affiliated with a rescue or shelter and would like PetMeds to feature one of your group’s adoptable pets, please email us at rescuepet@petmeds.com.
