Today’s PetMeds adoptable pet spotlight is on George, a 10 month old German Shepherd puppy located in Palm Beach County, Florida:
George is a 10 month old German Shepherd puppy rescued about 4 weeks ago. George was abandoned by his owner at the local shelter where the overcrowding of dogs forces them to put more dogs down than can get adopted. As soon as we met George, we knew he deserved a second chance and would make a great family pet. He is very friendly and extremely affectionate. He loves to curl up with you on the couch or in bed and will bring you his toys so you can play with him. He is very athletic and is extremely good at playing fetch. You can throw him tennis balls and he will run to get them and will bring them back to you so you throw them again. He is also good at catching the Frisbee. Because he is still a puppy, he does have a high energy level and will need to be exercised daily. He is fully house broken and knows how to use the doggy door to go outside when he needs to go potty. He is neutered, has had all the yearly vaccines, and is on heart-worm preventative and flea preventatives. He is friendly with other dogs and seeks to play with them. He is also good with children, but not with cats. He really is a great family dog and would make someone very happy. He weighs about 50 lbs. right now and although he will probably grow a little more, he is not a large dog. He will probably get to be around 60 lbs at the most. His adoption fee is $250. Paws crossed that you will call. If you are interested all you will need to do is:
