Leon is happy, smart and affectionate. The only thing he’s missing? A home of his very own! Leon is available for adoption through PALS (Pets A-Lone Sanctuary) in Lincoln County, Missouri.
“I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.”
Leon’s Story:
It was just a few days before Halloween – a passerby noticed Leon tied with a rope to the electrical pole outside our shelter property. Leon was loved by someone enough to be neutered, but it boggles the mind to see such callousness – this light pole borders on a highway.
Leon is a Labrador Retriever Mix – he has black short hair (just a little longer than you would normally see on a Lab). He has a white blaze on his chest, that looks like a cross. Leon weighs in at 53 lbs., is fully grown – our veterinarian believes he was born 10/21/12. Leon is so playful, smart, affectionate & fun-loving – he gets along well with other dogs and cats, too. When napping, Leon loves to snuggle with his stuffed dolly – he lays with his paws crossed like a proper gentleman, then puts his chin on his dolly to sleep – so adorable!
Leon, like most young Labs, is higher energy, loves to play like a puppy – and would appreciate a safe, fenced yard to play in. He is crate trained, and prefers to go to the bathroom outside. Leon loves kids, but his playful, fun-loving size, would be best suited to family members 9 or 10 yrs. old and up. Leon’s $150 Adoption Fee is quite inclusive – of course, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, tested negative for Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrlichia Disease and is current on monthly heartworm/flea/tick preventative.
