This week’s PetMeds adoptable pet spotlight is on Miss Murphy. She is a beautiful Bullmastiff located in the Chicago area, and hoping for a loving forever home.
Miss Murphy is an absolute sweetheart! Murphy came to Bullmastiff Rescuers Inc. in a bit of rough shape; she didn’t like the atmosphere of the shelter and due to the stress she wouldn’t eat. However, after some time relaxing with her foster mom and dad, she is now doing well and is back up to a healthy weight. Her foster mom calls her “Miss” Murphy because she is such a lady. She’s a mellow, snuggly, lovable girl who likes nothing more than to be by your side all the time. She is a young girl; her age is estimated at about 3 years old. She’s great with all people. She is crate trained, however she is so well behaved she doesn’t really need her crate, she is fine out of her crate when left alone. She is not destructive at all and she has NEVER had an accident in the house. She is completely housebroken, up to date on her shots, spayed and microchipped.
Although Murphy loves kids, she is a bit clumsy on her feet and wiggles quite a bit when she is happy so she might be best with children over 8 years old so that she doesn’t knock over a small child accidentally. Murphy would really like to be the only dog in your house, although she doesn’t mind seeing other dogs from a distance. Due to her past experiences, she gets extremely anxious when around other dogs when they get really close. Murphy has never met a cat so we are unsure what she would think of them.
If you have a yard for her to play in, it would be her dream come true.
