Today’s PetMeds adoptable pet spotlight is on Roxy, a very sweet Jack Russell/Foxhound mix located in Lighthouse Point, Florida:
I am a female Jack Russell/Foxhound mix. My family moved away and left me with a bowl of food in the back yard and then packed up and moved. I was found under a wooden patio deck with my empty bowl and was very frightened. I then went to the Animal Shelter for two weeks until my friends at SOS 4 Paws rescued me and gave me a second chance. I have been abused in the past as I do lie down to the ground when you come up to pet me.
My foster mom and dad picked me up on 4/25/12 and brought me home. I am already spayed, have all my shots, all my pet meds, heartworm negative, and I have a microchip. I am very healthy. I like car rides and I appear to be housebroken. I love to be rubbed and when you stop I push your hand with my nose to tell you I want more. I love to roll over and be rubbed and move around with pure joy. I am very non-aggressive and get along with my new foster brother and sister canines and the cats that have come in my path and I don’t even pay attention to them. I love my walks. After one day of being with my foster family, they can tell that I am going to be a very loyal and calm companion. They took me to a friend’s house and while everyone was talking I just lay down and went to sleep until it was time to go. I am very happy and would love to have a loving home of my own. I will have my paws crossed and hope that you will call.

We are interested in knowing how big Roxie is.
I’m checking with her foster home, and I’ll let you know what I find out!
