Adoptable pet spotlight: Rainey

Are you looking for an easygoing, friendly Greyhound to add to your family? Meet Rainey! This six-year-old retired racer is available for adoption through NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue.

Rainey is looking for a home in NE Ohio.

The radiance of her open smile can brighten even the cloudiest day. How fitting then that lovely and lovable Rainey, the consummate collector of hearts, is a Valentine’s baby. Now a sweet 6 years old, this long-legged brindled beauty and retired racer raised a litter of Rainey lookalikes before recently opting once more for the single life.

Rainey is currently making her mark as a meet-and-greet favorite at our weekly adoption events. She may be large for a Greyhound gal, but, being true to her breed, she’s an easygoing, low-energy lady who would rather dream than dash about and cuddle rather than chase around. She gets along purr-fectly with cats, and nothing pleases this affectionate and confident cutie more than playing couch potato with her people. Now, as she deftly places one delicate leg in front of the other in search of a loving home, romantic Rainey hopes to capture and keep her adopters’ hearts forever.
