Kumba’s rescue story

While walking my kids home from school, we saw a tiny kitten laying on the sidewalk. He was so young that his eyes were still closed, and he had a protruding lump the size of a golf ball coming out of his belly. He had obviously been abandoned by his mother; probably left to die. We scooped him up and took him to the vet. He was loaded with fleas, and the lump turned out to be the worst case of tapeworm the vet had ever seen! They had caused a HUGE hernia. So after surgery and dropper feeding him formula until he got big and healthy, he is now our Kumba! Four years old and just the cutest, sweetest boy!

Thanks for sharing Kumba’s rescue story with us, Karen! We’re so glad you found Kumba and have been taking such good care of him.
