Change a Pet’s Life Contest
Change a Pet’s Life Day was started in 2009 to encourage pet adoption and draw attention to the many homeless pets in the US. Each year, it takes place on January 24.
In 2015, PetMeds Cares™ held the first Change a Pet’s Life Contest to help several adoptable pets get the surgery and/or medical treatment they needed to be adopted. The winning pet Gorilla received $2,000 towards the medical treatment he needed, and he has since been adopted. Learn more about him below!
Since then, two more Change a Pet’s Life Contests have been help, helping a former puppy mill breeder, Regina, regain her health in 2016, and funding pelvic surgery for a pug puppy, Simpson, in 2017.
