DOGust Birthday Contest
DOGust, also known as DOGust the 1st, is celebrated each year on Aug. 1. It was introduced in 2008 to recognize and celebrate shelter pets everywhere and serve as a universal birthday for those adopted pets with unknown birthdays.
In 2016, PetMeds Cares™ celebrated DOGust by holding the first DOGust Birthday Contest, offering sponsored adoption fees of 18 pets at three winning rescue groups or shelters. Learn more about the 2016 winners and adoptable pets at the link below.
