PetMeds Spotlight: Car sickness in dogs

Today’s PetMeds Spotlight is on Car sickness.  There are a variety of medications to help a dog on a long car trip that might get an upset tummy from the drive, but there are alternatives.

There are natural herbs that can help like ginger, fenugreek, peppermint, even a small amount of raw honey or vitamin B can help with the symptoms of car sickness.

Sometimes though, it’s a simple as raising the dog up to be able to see the road.  Focusing on the horizon is one way that people combat motion sickness on the seas and the same goes for dogs in a car.   Elevating your pet might be a simple first step in alleviating car sickness, and make the ride more enjoyable for everyone.
