Chip’s rescue story

This is my beautiful Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix, Chip. He was born, and lived on the streets until he was 8 months old. He was then taken into a shelter and shortly after, was adopted by me! He had aggression issues when he came home and didn’t behave well around other dogs at all. It took around a year to completely train his aggression out of him. While training his aggression out of him, I also began teaching Chip complex behaviors. I started posting videos of his tricks on YouTube to show others what a quick learner he was and how shelter dogs that are aggressive can be turned into the most loyal and loving family members. He now has fantastic manners and people cannot believe that he came from a shelter! This is a photo of him on our front porch.

Thank you for sharing Chip’s rescue story with us Rachel. Judging by this video, “Cheerful Chip” really is very smart and so happy, too!
