PetMeds Spotlight: Flying with dogs

Today’s PetMeds spotlight is on flying with dogs.  International flights can be more of a challenge than domestic; depending on the airline and size of the dog, usually a crate that is suited for airline flight and documentation of immunization is all you need.

If you contact the airline’s Customer Service, they are usually really helpful with what would be required.

Some airlines require that older dogs have greater certification of health like kidney or liver, but generally if a dog flies in the cabin, it requires less paperwork.
