Every year, we celebrate National Dog Week in September, but what about celebrating cats? Rather than getting a designated week, cats only have one day- National Cat Day on October 29. This year, we’re making it up to cats and cat-lovers by celebrating all month long. The best part is all prizes are cat-specific and worth up to $2,200!
Our National Cat Day Contest is currently open to all U.S. rescues and shelters that rescue and rehabilitate cats. Your group does not need to be cat-exclusive to enter, but the more cats you help out, the better!
To enter, visit our contest page and tell us how your group helps cats in your community. Share a picture illustrating your story, and fill out the rest of the entry form. Entries will be judged and voted on, so we encourage you to share a detailed story and photo.
The submission period will close October 14 at 11:59 p.m. ET, at which time a panel of PetMeds judges will review the entries. The top ten scored entries will then move on to voting. Voting will be open October 19-28, and supporters can vote once per day.
The four winning groups will win salmon-flavored Feline Greenies Pill Pockets to help their adoptable cats. For more entry and prize details, please visit the National Cat Day Contest page and review the rules.
All entries must be completed by a rescue representative with permission to enter. If you’re not part of a rescue but still want to participate, please share this contest with your favorite rescue and vote for a winner!
Will you enter for your group’s adoptable cats? How else are you celebrating National Cat Day this month?
