Rescue Spotlight: AJs Best Friends Rescue

Working in the Phoenix, AZ area, AJs Best Friends Rescue is a non-profit rescue group that primarily focuses on rescuing purebred cats. While this organization specializes in Persian, Himalayan, Exotic Shorthair, Selkirk Rex, Ragdoll breeds, they also rescue other breeds such as Somali, American Curl, Birman, Burmese, Munchkin, Scottish Fold, Siamese, and Tonkinese.  Staffed by volunteers, AJ’s Best Friends Rescue places these homeless cats into foster homes, where they receive necessary veterinary care and loving attention until a permanent home is found.

All of the cats available for adoption through this rescue have been spayed or neutered, FeLV and FIV tested, and are current on their vaccinations. AJs Best Friends Rescue website has a listing of adoptable cats that is updated daily. If you live in Arizona and are interested in adopting a cat, you can start the adoption process by completing their Matchmaker Questionnaire and Adoption Contract.

If you aren’t able to adopt but would like to help this organization, you can volunteer to provide a foster home for a cat in need, or volunteer to help in other ways. AJs Best Friends Rescue gratefully accepts your tax deductible monetary donation. PetMeds was proud to help support this organization with a donation of pet supplies.
