Southeast Pug Rescue & Adoption (SEPRA) is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers. Located in Atlanta, Georgia, they are dedicated to placing lost, surrendered or abandoned pugs into loving forever homes. While they are primarily focused on the Southeast, they will take any pug in need. The rescued pugs or pug mixes are placed in foster care, and receive veterinary care including vaccinations, spaying or neutering and any medical treatment needed.
The SEPRA website has a list of pugs available for adoption, including pugs with special needs. If you see a pug you would like to adopt, you can fill out their online application. Their adoption fee is $250, which helps to cover the expenses of the medical care for the pugs. If you are not able to adopt, SEPRA gladly accepts your tax-deductible monetary donations, or you can become a member of SEPRA for just $15.00, which covers the cost of one DHPPV shot.
If you live in the Southeast, you can become a volunteer for SERPA, or volunteer to provide a foster home for a pug in need. You can even become a virtual foster parent by making a donation of any size for a specific pug’s medical care. PetMeds was proud to help support SEPRA with a donation of pet supplies.
