Carolina Boxer Rescue (CBR) is a Hampstead, NC based non-profit animal rescue organization with a dedication to rescuing Boxers in the Carolina’s. The organization has been in operation since 2001 and has saved the lives of over 5,000 dogs since their beginnings!

CBR is home to around 50-55 dogs at any given time. The rescue does not have a physical location, so the group relies heavily on volunteers to open their home as fosters. If you are interested in volunteering to be a foster for the organization, you can visit this page on CBR’s website.

Through CBR’s Save our Seniors (SOS) program, they are able to reduce the adoption costs of senior aged dogs. Although caring for senior dogs can be very costly to the rescue, CBR is able to increase the adoption rates of their senior dogs by lowering their adoption fees. They are dedicated to getting the senior pets in their care into loving homes to carry out the rest of their lives. Senior dogs are often said to be some of the most affectionate and loving animals you could bring into your home.

Carolina Boxer Rescue hosts a number of different events throughout the year in their area. On January 13, 2018, CBR is hosting “Boxers at Beer Study” in Durham, NC. On May 5th, 2018, CBR is hosting their “Knockout Event at Trophy” in Raleigh, NC. For more information, be sure to follow Carolina Boxer Rescue on Facebook.

Meet Merlin!

Merlin Carolina Boxer Rescue

“Meet Merlin! This special boy’s future Foster Mom found him on Facebook through a local shelter that was begging a rescue to come forward to save his life—it was feared he wouldn’t make it to his 1st Birthday. CBR quickly made the arrangements to get him to the vet before he took a turn for the worst. Merlin was an extremely sick 8-month-old puppy who only weighed 17 lbs. He had 3 infections and was filled with worms. With the help of IV fluids and medications he started to gain some weight. He made such a “magical” recovery, his parents named him Merlin. For a young puppy Merlin is well-trained. He loves his crate, is housebroken and knows the sit command. And he will most certainly make it to his 1st Birthday because of CBR.”
