Vinegar

Today’s PetMeds spotlight is on vinegar, an all natural remedy for a variety of ailments that can effect your pet.  As with us humans, vinegar can be used to treat or prevent skin ailments, acidity of urine (stones), and ear infections.  In addition, with pets it is considered with ear infections, tear stains, and training.

Vinegar is a natural solution to a variety of issues, but nothing can replace a trip to the vet.  Make sure to visit the vet at the first sign of something wrong with your pet and discuss all possibilities.  Sometimes something as simple as a change in diet can change something like Struvite stones.  They are the type of stones that if left unnoticed and untreated for an extended period could be cause for surgery, but a change in diet can dissolve the stones naturally.
