PetMeds SpotLight: Wisconsin German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue, Inc.

From their site:

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving purebred German Shorthaired Pointers in Wisconsin. Our first priority are to GSPs in Wisconsin shelters in danger of euthanization. If you have a dog to surrender to WGSPR, you can contact us, but we cannot promise you we will have space for your problem. If your dog is up-to-date on shots, and altered, current on heartworm and Lyme prevention, for a donation we can post your dog here for adoption.

If you are interested in ADOPTING, please go to our Adoption Application and complete that for further consideration. Be mindful we are all volunteers, so please give us 24 hours to get back to you! Although GSPs were bred to be bird hunters, we cannot promise you that any of our dogs will hunt. We do try to test each dog for his or her capabilities with volunteer/professional trainers. If they do hunt, it’s a bonus for you! We DO NOT ship dogs to other states. You have rescue in your state, please go to our links page and click on the GSP National Rescue link to find dogs in your state needing great homes.

We do offer training assistance for all our adopters.

We save shorthairs, because it’s OUR PASSION!
